Welcome

The Island Farmers’ Alliance is excited to bring renewed energy to the “Fresh From the Island” Rooster logo in order raise awareness and increase recognition for food and food products arising from the Islands region. Its cheery Rooster logo has been popping up on farm gates and on local food (and farmers) throughout the Islands region for almost a decade and a half.  The newly-elected board of the IFA is focussing on bringing the “Fresh from the Island” Rooster logo to more farms and to a wider range of farm products from across the Islands region.

The Island Farmers’ Alliance also helps to increase customer recognition of local products by promoting the Rooster image in local market guides and at farmers’ markets, food-related events and agriculture shows. The long term goals of the “Fresh From the Island” Rooster campaign are to ensure the sustainability and growth of Island agriculture and to unite the Island agriculture industry, particularly in marketing foods from the Islands region. To this end, the IFA is seeking partnerships with other farming organizations or with those who are keen on promoting regional agriculture and buy local campaigns. .
